Inspired by his study of aerodynamics as well as his close observations of nature, Prof. Luigi Colani developed his own trademark organic design language as well as his rather unconventional ideas. At the end of the 1960s, this freethinker had a tenure at Kusch+Co, designing his first seating that still hold the same fascination today as it did back then. After the relaunch of his lounger TV-relax as well as the matching side chair, the Colani Collection is enjoying a successful renaissance. The flowing design language, moulding to the body, as well as the soft, round shapes characterize both variations. Not only do they hold the appeal of an avant-garde sculpture, the Colani Collection variations add pizzazz to prominent public spaces, such as museums, hotels or lobbies, without forgetting exceptional housing developments. They are designed for relaxation, add some playfulness to functional environments, and exude a stylish atmosphere. On top of this, the Colani designs are still much-coveted collectibles: e.g. the lounger is a mainstay in the permanent collection of the modern art museum in Munich, the Pinakothek der Moderne.
This exceptional easy chair is characterized by its ergonomic design, offering an outstanding comfort level. The flowing lines adds an energetic pizzazz, even to austere environments.
