Description

Traditionally, Berber carpets are hand-knotted by Moroccan tribal peoples from undyed wool. Their designs are almost simple and range from ordered geometric shapes to more free-form expressive patterns, as ancient heritage passed down from weaver to weaver. Particularly, popular high pile Berber carpets feature natural shades and mostly brown, grey and black geometric designs. Disclosed by mid century modernist designers, such as Le Corbusier, these charming carpets are still now widely collected, since their ancient minimalistic design suit perfectly contemporary interiors.
