The load-bearing structure of the bench-planter ALFA is made in tubular steel, square section 40x40x1,5 mm, covered with laser-cut panels in steel 20/10 thickness. Under the seat there’s a frame in tubular steel with section 20x10x1,5. The seat and the armrest are made in exotic wood, 40 mm thickness. The wooden seat is fixed to the load-bearing structure through specific screws, whereas the armrest is fixed to the structure through self-tapping M6 screws, later covered with stucco of the same colour as the wood. The planter (dimensions: 400x500xH 268 mm ) is made of a tank 15/10 thick, placed on a steel sheet 20/10 thick. Steel EN10111DD11 is used for the realization of this product and all the elements in this material, after all the different stages (cutting, bending, welding), are treated with electrogalvanizing according to the UNI regulations and are later polyester powder-coated with RAL colours at choice. As an alternative to steel EN10111DD11, the production in corten is also available, on demand. In this case the material is treated with a specific oxidation process. The wood used is either Iroko or Okume, treated with natural, water-repellent, UV ray resistant oils.
