The Bench is made of 6 strong steel profiles (50/10 thickness). These profiles are laser-cut for the placement of 20 exotic wood slats 40x40x1800 mm. The 6 profiles are connected in pairs through elements made in a bent, U shaped steel sheet (15/10 thickness). On these elements there are holes for the fixing of the slats. Among the profile pairs there are 3 elements in steel sheet (15/10 thickness) that serve as spacers and strengthen the structure. In the back, as a cover of the ground fixing system, 2 steel panels (15/10 thickness) are fixed. These panels are calendered and S shaped to stick to the shapes of the structural profiles. On the base of the 3 pairs of profiles theare are plates in steel sheet (50/10 thickness), on which there are 2 holes (12 mm diam.) for the fixing to the ground through specific bolts (not provided).
Steel EN10111DD11 is used for the realization of this product and all the elements in this material, after all the different stages (cutting, bending, welding), are treated with electrogalvanizing according to the UNI regulations and are later polyester powder-coated with RAL colours at choice.
As an alternative to steel EN10111DD11, the production in corten is also available, on demand. In this case the material is treated with a specific oxidation process.
The wood used is either Iroko or Okume, treated with natural, water-repellent, UV ray resistant oils.
