Laterlite Plus light insulating aggregates are composed of a special expanded clay, characterised by a very low capillarity which allows it to be hydrophobic, not retain water and therefore remain dry. Laterlite Plus insulating aggregates are also highly resistant and have all the typical properties of expanded clay aggregates, to which they add the particularity of being dry and hydrophobic. Laterlite Plus insulating aggregate is suitable for all the typical applications of expanded clay in, construction and industrial sector, where it has the added advantage of being dry and hydrophobic. In construction they are especially indicated for the following uses: Dry use: Dry levelling compound for dry screed and granular fill for dry construction in general Laterlite Plus 2/3 in granular form is used as a continuous lightweight levelling, compensating, and insulating granular fill and dry levelling compound. It does not require compaction and can be applied in thicknesses of 1 cm and above. When used as part of a dry screeding system it can be finished by laying specific types of panelling (SmartPly OSB, plasterboard, fibreboard, chipboard, etc..) to take the flooring.
