Levolux’s Skyvane is a non-retractable blind system that has been specifically designed for installation to vertical, horizontal, inclined or unusually shaped glazed openings. Skyvane is suitable for internal and external applications to control solar heat gain, prevent excessive glare or to control daylight levels. The Skyvane system is available with a range of slats, that are purpose designed to offer extremely good light control in situations where no alternative can be used.
System Construction
All components are subject to rigid quality standards and are designed to produce a high performance product with an aesthetically pleasing finish. The main components of the Levolux Skyvane system are:
Rackarm – Extruded aluminium profiles and injection moulded components combine to secure and operate the slats. Two different rackarm profiles are available – a standard profile which is used in most situations and a heavy duty section which allows a greater distance between fixing centres.
Drive Shaft – This connects the rackarms to the motor or gear box to enable the slats to be rotated from a fully open to fully closed position.
Slats – The Skyvane system is available with 50mm, 75mm or 80mm slat widths, which are attached to the rackarm using injection moulded clips. Unlike the 75mm wide extruded aluminium slat, the 50mm and 80mm wide slats can be supplied in solid or perforated aluminium. All slats are available with an anodised or a mill finish, or alternatively slats can be polyester powder coated to any standard RAL colour.
