In the summer of 1959 a typical day at the Copenhagen Zoo with designer Gunnar Flørnings daughters ended up being the catalyst for the design of this bird. The pelicans fascinated Flørnings young girls, inspiring him to begin the first sketches for what later materialized into this elegant piece produced in beech wood. MATERIAL Beech Wood SIZE Small: H 11 cm Medium: H 16 cm CARE INSTRUCTIONS Wood is a living material and overtime the color of wood will change. To minimize uneven discoloring it is recommended to not put wooden animals in contact with direct sunlight and change its place in the home now and then. Wood grain and colour variations are not considered quality failures but natural features of the product.
