The GeaLux has been designed to fit flush to your ceiling or into a drop down box lowered from your ceiling. The motor on this hood can be turned 360° to fit between joists so that you can direct your ducting in any direction. This model is one of very few ceiling hoods that can be recirculated using charcoal filters If you do not have room to duct out. Ensure there is adequate ventilation back in to the kitchen to allow air from the motor to re-circulated back into the room.
