Description

MAADI Group has successfully completed full-scale testing and analysis of vertical deflection under an 8-ton distributed load for their high-strength aluminum work bridge to verify that it meets stringent load standards prior to shipping. The 46.3-meter-long utility work bridge will span two offshore platforms. This Aluminum Bridge is lighter weight than a steel bridge, and resistant to salt water corrosion. Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) was conducted using 432 19.5-liter bottles totaling 8.6 Tons of water that were systematically weighed in increments and loaded onto the bridge deck to measure structural strength and deflection under specified weight loads. The tests measure stress effects on key joints and welds and deflection responses. The work bridge is designed to handle 200 km/h wind gusts in storm conditions. The bridge assembly uses high-strength stainless steel fasteners to eliminate stress corrosion due to harsh marine environments.
