MacMat® HS is the next-generation of high performance geomats, combining a three-dimensional matrix polymeric geomat reinforced with Maccaferri’s Steelgrid®system. It is used for demanding slope face stabilisation applications which require a combination of erosion protection and surficial stabilisation. The reinforcing hexagonal steel wire mesh has mechanical performance characteristics that exceed those recommended in EN 10223-3. The wire is heavily galvanised with Zn-Al5% in accordance with 10244-2, Class A. The galvanised wire and reinforcing cables are also available with an additional polymeric coating. Mechanical performance of the product (tensile strength, puncture resistance) is the same as Maccaferri Steelgrid®.
