Pyrobel is a range of fire resistant laminated glass, fire resistant and fire insulating class EI30 to 120 min. This transparent laminated glass is composed of clear float glass and intumescent interlayers. In case of fire, at approximately 120°, the interlayers transform into a rigid and opaque screen which prevents the passage of flames and blocks the heat transfert. Advantages Transparency : transparent laminated glass with no wire mesh, its light transmission is equivalent to the same thickness float glass Stability : the glass do not melt Flame containment : the fire does not spread thermal insulation, the average glass temperature on the protected side remains under 140 °C, which eliminates the risk of self combustion by radiation or convection of exposed materials and allows for safe evacuation of the building. Safety, it is safety laminated glass (can be used as a safety balustrades under the conditions listed inthe test report) and helps keep panic to a minimum during a fire evacuation because it becomes opaque
