Ironstone is a ferruginous limestone extracted from the only active ironstone quarry in the UK, located in Oxfordshire. It is suitable for new build, extensions, renovation and landscaping projects. This stunning walling stone has a shifting colour range from orangebrown, dark brown to white with some fine mineral veining. Ironstone is commonly used for traditional house building in South of Oxford to North Lincolnshire. Ironstone is also used on restoration projects where conservation grade ironstone is required. Ironstone walling is available in standard sizes shown below, all units are random length (200mm 500mm). Manufacturing Tolerances: A: Length: Random B: Height ± 5mm C: Width 10mm± 15mm Measurements relate to front to rear bed line. Bed dimension is a nominal 100mm. Material is supplied undressed.
