The Imager is a high quality image projector with dynamic movement capability designed for high-resolution projection of patterns, images, logos and messages. An excellent solution for retail, museums, clubs, restaurants, and bars, the Imager is available as either a single image projector or in a four-image version. The Imager’s powerful luminous output, programmability, and appealing styling set it apart from its conventional counterparts. A moving mirror option, a click-on accessory that offers the possibility of programmable movement, is available for roving logos or gliding messages. Optics A 250-watt, highly efficient discharge lamp (included) combines with an exceptional optical design to maximize optical efficiency and provide designers with extremely high-resolution picture quality. Three available lens options offer the choice of narrow, medium and wide beam angles. The standard spread angle is 23º with easy to insert narrow angle 15º and wide-angle 32º options. An optimized condenser lens system produces a very even light distribution across the entire projected surface and a cold light glass reflector maximizes optical efficacy, resulting in high light output. The multi-layer, coated, four-element focus lens ensures extremely high light transmission with very high contrast. Image sharpness is outstanding with a flat field projection and no distortion. Image projection The Imager uses large D-size gobos to ensure an image resolution nearly twice as high as E-size alternatives. Gobos in both the 4-gobo and 1-gobo Imager versions can be quickly replaced. Images can be rotated in both directions or set in a highly precise indexed position. A large number of standard gobo designs are available from major gobo suppliers. Furthermore, with the use of a special protection kit, it is possible to insert a photographic slide or overhead film for temporary promotions. Focus and intensity The Imager includes a remote controllable focus that keeps the image sharp from 2 meters (6.6 ft) to infinity, while a 0-100% mechanical intensity control ensures smooth fade-ins and transitions of the image. Color and movement An easy-to-insert color flag (no tools required) makes it possible to permanently change the color of the light for more striking image projections. A selection of optional colors is available. And for even more eye-catching images, an easy-to-mount optional mirror arm creates the possibility of precise, smooth movement in a range of 235° of pan by 65° of tilt. Fixture settings are controlled via a 3-digit control panel. Control The fixture can be controlled via DMX with either 9 or 12 channels required. Stand-alone programming offers one sequence containing up to 20 scenes using an optional infrared remote control. The Imager can run synchronized stand-alone operation together with the Martin Alien 02, MiniMAC Maestro, FiberSource CMY and Exterior luminaires. Cooling Cooling is achieved by low-noise filtered forced air. The speed of the fans is related to the ambient temperature, meaning that, in temperature controlled environments, the fans run at lower speeds, helping to reduce noise emission. The dust filters are easily replaceable without the need for tools. Installation Designed for permanent, high luminance installations, the Imager features a remote ballast, which together with the junction box can be installed prior to the installation of the Imager itself. The remote base can be positioned up to 16 meters (50 ft) away from the fixture.
