One of the most fascinating and complex themes studied by artists throughout the years has been developed by Nicola Giardina Papa in his design for X.Ombreluce. This product has been researched by XiLab, the workshop founded by Menotti Specchia with the aim of combining the constant high quality of its materials with the aesthetic value that only a contemporary design project can provide. X.Ombreluce is a story from the forest, its contrasting light and shade forming the sharp outlines of trees. A contrast that becomes the formality of geometry, with interaction between the lightness of maple and the black of Wengé, enhanced by two different varnishes - glossy for maple, Bios for Wengé.
The result is a design module that meets the classic rules of proportion, ready to be customised to meet clients’ requirements. Intense character in a product ideal for inserts that, like luxury rugs, give modern rooms a memorable touch.
