The roll cap system has been around for many years & can be considered the most traditional metal roofing technique in use today. Roll cap systems are available in loose cap or welted cap formats, in copper, brass, bronze, stainless steel or precoated aluminium and can be supplied with all the necessary traditional flashings and accessories. The loose roll cap system requires very few specialist tools and has the quicker installation time. The welted roll cap system is fairly labour intensive and specialist skills are required. The roll section can be square or round, giving the appearence of traditional leadwork. Due to the seperate capping piece, damaged panels can easily be exchanged without affecting adjacent panels.
