The Sedis seat, designed by Antonio Citterio with Toan Nguyen, gives you the choice of either sitting, or merely leaning, on either side and at two different heights, giving it various different uses, depending on your needs, how long you plan to stay and how intimate you are with other users. The seat and backrest are 40mm thick exotic wood treated with a water varnish, including the torsion version, the latter is made from independent, solid slats, therefore separately replaceable, have different shapes according to their position on the seat or backrest, with radii ranging from 20 to 150 mm. The angles are: lower seat = 3°, backrest = 13°, upper seat = 10°. The cast iron supports are sandblasted and polyester powder coated, where possible they are buried in the ground to give a lightness to the structure, or fixed externally through a 250x130 mm base plate with four holes to fix to the ground with bolts. The Sedis Torsion model, through its special form, allows up to 8 people, of which 4 can sit normally and 4 can lean.
