Description

Metsä Wood Finnjoists (FJI) are manufactured from high quality oriented strand board (OSB3) web, and flanges made from our own Kerto laminated veneer lumber (LVL). Our engineered timber I-beam joists deliver strength and rigidity, virtually eradicating floor movement and its associated problems, resulting in greater floor performance. Engineered and factory-produced to give uniform strength, rigidity, size, and weight, our engineered wood products out-perform traditional solid wood construction. Produced at reduced moisture content our engineered wood products are some of the most stable on the market today. Our Finnjoist is a prime example, with high-quality OSB web and flanges made of our own Kerto (LVL), delivering less dimensional change over time, virtually eradicating floor movement and its associated problems, resulting in greater floor performance. Kerto® LVL is incredibly strong and dimensionally stable, and it does not distort or shrink. It derives its high strength from the homogeneous bonded structure and is an excellent flange material. The end product is an I-beam which is lightweight yet incredibly strong, resulting in a quick and reliable installation. Finnjoists have full third party accreditation through the BM Trada Q-Mark and were the first product on the market to gain European Technical Approval (ETA). All Kerto® LVL products are CE marked and certified by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, no184/03.
