Project Name: NikeLab Client: Nike Locations: 21M New York, 1948 London, P75 Paris, X158 Shanghai, PS7 Hong-Kong, Milan, Dover Street Market Beijing, London, Beijing, Tokyo In 2015, Miniwiz was appointed to build 9 store and concession interiors as part of the NikeLab concept which was introduced the same year by the global sports industry leader and long time Miniwiz partner. NikeLab is Nike’s vehicle to push the boundaries of innovation and experience at digital and physical retail. Aligned to Nike’s corporate goals, the brief to Miniwiz for NikeLab was to minimise material usage and re-use production waste - hence their appointment of Miniwiz for the project. NikeLab interiors feature strong, modular and lightweight interior solutions, fixtures and instalments, featuring Miniwiz recycled materials such as Ricefold, a Polymer reinforced with Rice nanoscilica, ReGrind, a material composite made out of discarded and recycled Nike footwear/apparel and various other material solutions created from e-waste such as motherboards and casings to hint the potential of re-used materials. With the recent additions of Milan, the NikeLab store portfolio continues to grow with Miniwiz’s partnership.
