This 1.2mm galvanised connector plate is used in roofing situations where are a stronger connector plate than the 1mm M20 is required. A typical roofing example would be an attic truss where the non-triangulated nature of the attic room results in the increased depth of the timber members and higher forces being transferred through the timber joints. A typical MiTek attic truss design might include a mix of M20 and B90 connector plates on the various truss joints reflecting the differing forces and plate requirements at the different points on the component. The appropriate sized plate is specified by our sophisticated design software and is then pressed into the timber chords of the truss in factory controlled conditions.
