The design of the Nika collection arises from traditional woodworking and confronts thin and refined surfaces on the one hand, and rough, massive elements on the other. The form features a seemingly delicate rim that passes in a curve to the massive central part, reminiscent of the original wood form – timber. The wood is tied together with metal joining elements that grow from a double dovetail joint, giving the bench a touch of traditional forging from Kropa, Slovenia.
