Description

Designed by Doshi Levien, Rabari rugs are handmade from 100% New Zealand wool using two techniques: hand-knotted and hand-woven soumak. With a woven base and knotted details that embody the freedom to improvise and the serendipity inherent in each step of a handmade piece, this collection is a refined combination of patterns with a unique graphic sensuality. Rabari 1 reveals a symbology of traditional colors and shapes. Density 124.000 tufts/m2 Fibers New Zealand wool Typically, New Zealand wool is known to be the whitest, cleanest, purest and most natural in the world. Its softness is due in part to the altitude and the vegetation available to the herds. It is guaranteed to be cruelty-free. Technique Hand knotted Indo Nepal + Sumak Handwoven on a vertical loom where the thread is strongly attached to the warp by means of knots. Cleaning and care Tips Vacuum frequently. Clean stains with the appropriate solution before they dry. Take the rug to specialized dry cleaners, if necessary.
