Design of reinforcement of beams, columns, walls, plates and shells (according EC2/DIN 1045-1/NEN 6720/BAEL/IS 456:2000/BS 8110/ACI 318/ Önorm B 4700/ SIA).

Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Scia Engineer is available for the calculation of reinforcement in beams, columns, walls, plates and shells. The program is completely integrated with Scia Engineer modules for structural analysis. With this module the structural engineer has an interactive graphical tool at his/her disposal for the calculation of required reinforcement areas (e.g. longitudinal reinforcement and shear reinforcement) according to the regulations given by the chosen code.

Scia Engineer has also for concrete and reinforcement a strong visual presentation. All the reinforcement that was calculated by the user can be shown in 3D on the screen.

On this reinforcement special checks can be done. Scia Engineer has a various amount of possibilities that can be checked such as:

Physical non linear deformations (cracks and reinforcement taken into account)
Response check (check of stresses and strains)
Capacity check (e.g. check of Myu)
Crack check
Punching
