Nidaplast polypropylene honeycomb structures with an 8-mm mesh are used for the core of glued structural sandwich panels.
Their surface coating (polyester non-woven material and plastic film) provides an adhesion base for the coating used. Nestaplast is intended for bonding cladding using both traditional techniques and less costly methods involving heat-sealing films.
It can be used to bond virtually all types of materials, for use in many different areas: construction, transport, yachting, industrial equipments, sport, recreation, etc…
Large-scale panel : 2500 x 1220 mm
Various thicknesses : de mm
Cell size : 8 mm
The honeycomb has a density of 65 kg/m3, ensuring good shock resistance and compressive strength.
LIGHTWEIGHT
Nidaplast 8 is a lightweight material enclosing a core of air.
Its low weight lightens structures.
It can be installed without difficulty. This material is easy to cut, which increases the lifespan of tools.
ROT-PROOF
Nidaplast 8 panels are resistant to water and most solvents, and guarantee that the core will not decay or swell if the skin is perforated.
Unlike plywood, they ensure lasting results.
GOOD SHOCK RESISTANCE AND COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH
Nidaplast 8 resists fatigue very well, avoiding all risk of delamination. This viscoelastic material has excellent impact resistance and gradually dissipates shocks.
THERMAL AND ACOUSTIC COMFORT
Nidaplast 8 with an air core helps improve thermal comfort.
The air is also an added benefit for acoustic insulation.
ECONOMICAL
To bear the same load, for a given sag, it is easier, lighter and more economical to increase the thickness of Nidaplast 8 than to reinforce the skins.
