Natural surface. The edges of the products can be split or sawn. The first are obtained by mechanical blanking and by selecting the thicknesses. The latter, on the other hand, are realized by sawing the slabs and executing another calibration of the visible edges in order to obtain a more uniform thickness. Finished surface. Contrary to the natural surface articles, these products have a uniform thickness (except from the semi-polished ones).According to the intended effect, their surface is finished, flamed, honed, polished or coated. The sawn edges can be treated with the same proceeding of the surface and potentially shaped with bull nose and half bull nose profile. The products with natural surface and thicknesses are indicated for external staircases, gardens, walls where the proceeding degree is rather rustic and with acceptable tolerances. The products with natural surface, but with rectified measures by machine, fit perfectly to effective, applicative solutions for outdoors, which exalt the physical propriety of the material without altering its original state. The products with finished surface, which are much more finished and elaborated, are the most appropriate for high-quality applications, both for external (for which the flamed type is recommended) and internal use (for which the flamed, honed, polished and coated types are recommended).
