LIME PAINT ADIGE by OIKOS is a mineral water based paint for interior and exterior, formulated with mature lime putty, for a textured, matt finish. It is ideal for restoration projects of prestigious buildings of historical importance, where the ancient style and materials of the Italian tradition have to be maintained or proposed. The product creates a stable link with the surface, maintaining the level of vapour permeability of the support and facilitating the evaporation of internal humidity. Its level of alkalinity prevents the development of mould and bacteria. The fine marble granules in the products formulation create beautiful aesthetical finish typical of the "antique effect". LIME PAINT ADIGE by OIKOS has a low odour level, is non–inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment. Ideal use Exterior and interior walls of historical or prestigious buildings. Surface preparation The surface must be dry and mature, new plasters should be left to mature for at least 30 days to allow complete carbonation of the support. Carefully brush or strip the surfaces and remove loose and flaking material. In case of restoration work, water infiltrations and leakages must be repaired. For the best results, it is recommended to apply the product directly on lime plasters or on exisiting coatings of lime paint once they have been carefully washed and brushed clean.
