is a special acrylic protective coating for concrete with a coloured semi¬transparent finish. The product consists of modified acrylic resins in water dispersion which provide a waterproof protective coat resistant to frost thaw cycles and to penetration of CO2 and SO2 gases present in smog and rain, that are today, the worst enemies of concrete because they cause the carbonation and the consequent rusting of concrete iron rods. The product also prevents the development of moulds and algae. Its high vapour permeability allows BETONCRYLL SEMITRASPARENT to be used also on masonry, fiber cement and stone. It has a low odour level, is non inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment. Ideal Use Protection and decoration of reinforced concrete, stone and bricks. Surface Preparation Carefully clean the surface to be treated removing any loose or flaking material, dust, smog or dirt by brushing thoroughly or washing the surface. New surfaces must be thoroughly dry and mature and free from grease. Application Method On old and powdering surfaces apply as a primer, a coat of BETONCRYLL SEMITRASPARENT diluted 70 ÷ 80% with drinkable water. After preparation of the surface, apply by brush, roller or spray gun (nozzle 1.3 ÷ 1.7mm), two coats of BETONCRYLL SEMITRASPARENT allowing 4 hours between coats. Dilute the first coat 40% and the second 20% with drinkable water. The final colour of BETONCRYLL SEMITRASPARENT can vary depending on the absorption of the surface.
