Systematic storage and pellet transport The size of the storage room The building heat load determines the size of the required storage room. As a rule of thumb: each 1 kW heat load = 0.9 m³ storage space (including voids). A rectangular room with a width of no more than two metres is recommended. In storage quantities up to 6.5 tonnes, pellets can be stored without any special fire protection provisions.
