Plinio il Giovane
Where the Milanesi sit
What a challenge it was to design “Seggiola”, but how satisfying in the end! This chair is often used in bars and cafés round Milan but it is also used by those who sit for hours every day in front of a computer. It helps one to maintain a correct posture because it is specially shaped for the spine, almost orthopedic. It is small but sturdy and is still produced by hand and, because of the solidity of its joints, it won’t break even if dropped. The backrest is of an original design which is not made of composite but of three layers of heavy oak, 3 mm thick, which have been bowed with the use of oil, which is an old fashioned method
that ensures that the wood remains light and resilient.
Every piece of furniture is handmade, one at time.
We use pure linseed oil and natural pigments to finish all our products.
Adopting an age-old technique that prolongs the life of the product and at the same time renders it unique and one-off.
Personalised finishes to our products are also available for our loyal customers, using natural, eco-friendly materials.
Forty years of research into highly resistant and eco-friendly materials have resulted in our new collection of hard-wearing textiles, produced on the jacquard looms of the old master weavers of our region.
We care very much about having a direct and immediate relationship with our customers. If you are unable to come and visit us in person or call in on one of our trusted retailers, we invite you to get in touch with us so that we can provide you with any assistance you might need.
