Contemporary glass round table CALICE by Lella & Massimo Vignelli

Calice has been created from a large cast iron half sphere, onto which the steel support column fastens, to sustain the glass top. The large visible metal disc of the base adds to the general look of the table top. The underside of the 15mm white transparent floating glass top has been specially sandblasted to give it a matt finish. The base and column have been expressly treated to obtain a textured finish, and then completed with a protective transparent varnish.
