Description

Why Crick? In 2004 Francis Crick passed away. The stool pays tribute to this great researcher who found out the geometrical law and the inner order in the DNA molecule. To reach this brilliant conclusion, James D. Watson and Francis Crick started with a photograph as their only visual clue. It was the famous “Photo 51” made shortly earlier by Rosalind Franklin. From an implicit visual order, they could find out the functional structural order, the inverse process we use when designing. This tribute inspires the stool´s geometry, in no way accidental, the funny twist of its piled legs remembers us an ascending propeller.
