The MIX 551 is simply a stronger one-way mirror film. Owing to its thickness, it forms a membrane that keeps the glass in place, preventing it from shattering in case of explosion or vandalism. The one-way mirror effect plays on the phenomenon of light balance : the film becomes a reflective screen in reaction to a stronger light. It refers to one side as a mirror image while keeping the transparency of glass on the other side. You can see without being seen.
