Living in a garage? The child’s room as a workshop? Exactly that! Childhood memories inspired designer Alexander Seifried to develop this modular furniture system for children. What’s special about this design is the fur- niture’s versatility that gives it a much longer lifespan compared to standard products for children: the top of the baby’s changing unit becomes a tabletop for a children’s table and the chest of drawers becomes a shelf. The food-safe plastic containers (made in Germany) are used for storing toys and can later be used in the bathroom to keep creams, soaps and other personal items. Alternatively, the changing unit is also available with drawers. Famille Garage is furniture that can be many things: storage, shelving, seating, plaything ... What’s new in 2015 is a bed for mattresses measur- ing 70 x 120 cm. Again, an extremely versatile piece of furniture – and not just for the first two years. The mattress and slat frame can be lowered to three dif- ferent heights. The guardrail and the high head and footboards can easily be removed. The length of the remaining bed can then also be extended from 120 to 160 cm. Famille Garage: High-end furniture made in Germany. Timeless, flexible and durable.
