Material and use
The Rockpanel Woods boards are produced from compressed natural basalt, a sustainable and readily available volcanic rock and bonded with an organic binder from which all Rockpanel products derive their unique properties. The products combine the advantages of stone and workability wood.
The cladding boards are suitable for use as exterior cladding, applications along the roofline and for building detailing.
Getting great grades
Rockpanel Woods boards are available in the following grades:
Durable > For general applications around the roofline and exterior cladding.
A2 > Meets European fire-class A2-s1, d0, to fulfill even the highest fire safety requirements.
We advise you to order the required amount of Rockpanel Woods for a certain project as one batch to avoid any slight variation between batches.
* Available from 100 m²
Take no risks - be on the (fire-)safe side
Creating fire-safe buildings to protect the people living and working inside is an increasingly important issue. With Rockpanel A2 we developed an exterior cladding board which meets the European fire class A2-s1, d0 (non-combustible according to national building regulations) when fixed on a metal sub-frame with rivets. Next to that we offer the Durable grade, which is classified as B-s2, d0. When using Rockpanel boards you can create façades with a high level of fire safety with a broad range of aesthetic finishes.
Keeping its beauty for many years
Rockpanel boards are treated with a high quality water-based coating that keeps their appearance, colour and finish for years to come. The ProtectPlus layer gives extra protection against UV and graffiti.
