The kitchen is centrally located in the home, sharing an open space with common areas such as the dining room, living room or TV room. To fit it out, interior designer Natalia Zubizarreta chose the LINE model by Santos, a modern and minimalist design that, aside from providing great capacity, organisation and functionality, seamlessly blends into the style of the rest of the house, which is characterised by its quiet elegance and neutral tones.
The White Silk Matt finish of the cabinets perfectly blends with the white walls, ceilings and worktop, comprising a bright and balanced whole. The solid oak flooring provides a nice contrast, which adds an inviting warmth to the different environments, as it is found throughout the entire floor.
The units—laid out in parallel—surround an island, together with a set of tall units. While the preparation, cooking and washing-up areas are found in the former, several electrical appliances and compact storage solutions are found in the latter. This layout makes tasks easier, avoids unnecessary trips to and fro, and encourages freedom of movement, making it possible for several people to share the same space without getting in each other’s way.
