In addition to fixed glazing and doors, fire protection for windows is also an increasingly common requirement. Special fire-resistant windows are necessary on corners, in built-up areas, but also leading into an atrium. For this, Schüco has developed a special construction based on Schüco AWS windows.
Both fire and smoke pose an enormous risk of death or injury. Consequently, the use of natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems (SHEVS) is required in accordance with DIN EN 12101-2; this can be achieved with Schüco AWS in a wide range of designs.
