Description

The unique lounge chair takes its inspiration from the ageless No 7 dining chair designed by Helge Sibast in 1953. Carrying on the high-quality craftsmanship and design heritage from his grandfather, Ditlev Sibast designed the lounge chair as a respectful and endearing transformation of the original dining chair together with his wife, Anna. The kinship with the dining chair is emphasised by the large moulded backrest and the gently tapered back legs. Other key qualities of the design include the laid-back comfort and simple expression. The lounge chair descends from the timeless beauty of the Danish Modern movement and is a bold and extraordinary design made with the fundamental attention to detail that runs in the Sibast family. Sibast No 7 Lounge is available in a seat upholstered as well as a fully upholstered version. Furthermore it has now also been introduced in two new exclusive editions of sheepskin. Sibast Furniture introduces the Sibast No 7 lounge chair in two exclusive editions of sheepskin. The beautiful and soft sheepskin is adding elegance and comfort to the lounge chair and creates new visual expressions for this classic lounge chair. The new editions is offered in a short-haired Australian sheepskin version and a long-haired Icelandic sheepskin version. Sibast Furniture is also offering the long-haired Icelandic sheepskin separately as a beautiful way to create added comfort to the Sibast No 8 dining chair, for example. The Sibast No 7 lounge chair that was created by Ditlev and Anna Sibast in 2017 is taking its inspiration from the ageless Sibast No 7 dining chair designed by Helge Sibast in 1953.
