Glass-Tedlar modules can be transparent or the colour of the background Tedlar.
Transparent glass-Tedlar modules look exactly the same as glass-glass modules but as the back layer of glass is replaced by a layer of transparent Tedlar the thickness of the module is reduced (to 0.16 or 0.20 in), which also means that they are lighter. They are highly recommendable for facades which require a lighter material or where shade is required but thermal or acoustic isolation is not necessary. Examples of where these modules can be applied are overhangs and pergolas.
Coloured glass-Tedlar modules have an opaque appearance as they combine the background colour with the cells (for example, with monocrystalline cells, a black Tedlar background is used, and with polycrystalline cells, dark blue Tedlar is used). They are normally used for ventilated facades as their appearance is more homogenous than standard modules.
