Solar Innovations Inc. offers a line of retractable screens. These products are typically used with operable doors sytems. When a door system is completely open, the space is vulnerable to insects. By incorporating a screen unit, the views can still be enjoyed while keeping pesty insects outside. Sliding, stacking, folding, terrace, and clear walls all have the option of utilizing a screen system. There are multiple types of retractable screens. One type of screen will retract left to right and this is commonly used with average sized openings. Another option combines an insect screen and a blind. When pulled from one side an insect screen is present, and when the other opposite side is pulled a blind comes out that offers privacy and can function as a movie projector screen. Large openings typically use a screen that retracts up and down. Most, but not all, of the screen systems can be motorized, with an option for manual operation. Different screen fabrics, textures and colors are available depending upon the selected system.
