Around 1,000m² are produced daily.
The glass is hardened so as to be 6 to 7 times more solid and resistant than ordinary (annealed) glass, particularly to thermal shock.
And if it is subjected to a force capable of breaking it, it produces a multitude of small shards rather than large sharp pieces. For those two reasons, hardened glass is very safe.
This type of glass, especially resistant and endowed with excellent acoustic or UV-protection properties, is intended for balconies, balustrades or even roofs - anywhere safety and resistance to breaking and entering are essential.
