Description

Travertine is one of the most frequently used stones in modern architecture for facades, wall cladding, and flooring. The holes and troughs gracing the surface of the stone give it an aged and weathered appearance. Travertine may be filled or unfilled and be vein cut (parallel with the bed, directional veins) or fleuri cut (perpendicular to the bed, non-directional). Travertine is not as hard as granite. Below is a limited selection of the hundreds of different types of sandstone available. If you do not find what you are looking for here, please contact our Technical Services Staff.
