The barbecues designed for the Stûv offer a completely different approach to cooking. The food is placed in front of the flames as opposed to over the embers.
A healthier and faster method of cooking
There is no need to wait for glowing embers, just push the embers and flaming logs to the back of the stove.
The food is placed vertically in front of the flames without coming into contact with them. The heat cooks the food and the fat that runs off does not re-ignite the flames as with horizontal grills.
By adjusting the intensity of the fire, you can quickly cook red meat or alternatively use a slow-cooking method.
Easy to use
The grill can be fitted to the stove in a matter of seconds (even when in use). A stainless steel drip tray collects the fat and juices, allowing the food to be turned over without dripping into the stove or onto the floor.
Odours do not spread through the house, they vanish up the chimney.
