The result of collaboration between Norman Foster and Tecno, the Nomos System is designed to offer virtually unlimited flexibility in terms of layout solutions and to create truly striking office environments. The versatile and extremely robust Nomos is considered the pioneer of shared structure systems and is a recognised icon ofindustrial design. Through a range of elements, the system permits compositions to be created in different lengths and depths to satisfy all possible office needs, from individual workstations to large meeting tables and the latest desk-sharing solutions.The system’s starting point is a tubular metal backbone to which legs, feet, supports, worktops, superstructures and screens can be attached. A plastic vertebra secured to the frame provides orderly access for cables from the floor. Modular cable ducting in painted perforated sheet metal carries cabling under the worktops. The base modules are available in chrome or in a white, dark grey or gloss black nickel paint finish while the modular tops come in high pressure laminate or in white and dark grey lacquer. The same wood essences chosen for the desk and table tops are also available for all other surfaces in the collection. Elegance is added by back-painted clear and ultra-clear tempered glass tops that can be combined freely with all other finishes.
