Random tiling also has to meet the basic state-of-the-art requirements for slate roofs, e.g. with regard to adequate minimum overlap. As may be seen from the Old German tiling method, a reduction in the size of the tiles from the eaves towards the roof ridge is recommended. The roof incline, roof shape, length of the rafters and location of the premises determine the choice of tile size. It is important to ensure that there are edges where the water can run off (sawn off or tapered downwards) in the overlap area. Delivery schedule: Random tiling is mainly available in Original Altlayer® slate and Assulo® slate, as well as in Monte Color® slate on request.
