Description

Characteristics: No two roofs are the same. This type of tiling appears at first glance to be careless and unplanned, but it requires a great deal of skill. Random tiling also has to meet the basic state-of-the-art requirements for slate roofs, e.g. with regard to adequate minimum overlap. As may be seen from the Old German tiling method, a reduction in the size of the tiles from the eaves towards the roof ridge is recommended. The roof incline, roof shape, length of the rafters and location of the premises determine the choice of tile size. It is important to ensure that there are edges where the water can run off (sawn off or tapered downwards) in the overlap area. Delivery schedule: Random tiling is mainly available in Original Altlayer® slate and Assulo® slate, as well as in Monte Color® slate on request. When ordering, we recommend a combination of preworked materials and raw slate that will need to be trimmed on site. Rombeiros - traditional roofing from Galicia/Spain! The Rombeiros tiling method is - in its broadest sense - a combination of rectangular double coverage and random coverage. As the tiles are very irregular in both height and width, this results in an individual and exclusive appearance. Each roof is unique. Despite its rustic appearance, the Rombeiros method is distinguished from the traditional random method by offering a clear price benefit and a somewhat more even appearance. Lower wage costs as a result of: quick tiling because the tiles cover a large area simple tiling method, similar to rectangular double coverage no need to divide the roof or to line it out
