This stackable chair is sturdy and stable thanks to its clear design and clever wood construction. The frame provides so much stability that the chair can be exposed to extremely high loads according to NEN-EN 16139 level 2. Something quite special for a wooden chair! Both the backrest and the seat are made up of facets that give the chair a unique silhouette and at the same time improve the seating comfort. The chair is available with a colored HPL top layer or in an upholstered version, made with Kvadrat fabric, and is suitable for both project use and residential applications. The 's-Chair has been part of the Vij5 collection since 2014. Because Jeroen has his studio close to ours, we regularly get to see a sneak preview of his new projects at an early stage. This stackable chair caught our attention because of its characteristic shape, the colored surfaces and the unique combination of solid oak and plywood. Some designers are already very advanced with a product when we come into contact with them. This was the case with the 's-Chair. Jeroen designed the chair originally for the education room of the Stedelijk Museum 's-Hertogenbosch (hence the 's-) and had already developed it. Together we have also developed an upholstered version. In consultation with our upholsterer, we designed the upholstery in such a way that it retained the same facets as the HPL version. All plywood Share of the frame and the solid oak legs are produced in Meppel (NL) . After that everything comes to the studio & workshop of designer Jeroen Wand in Eindhoven (NL) where the chairs are assembled by hand.
