Who we are
Montbel was founded in 1959 in Manzano, in the province of Udine, by Silvano Montina. By joining the company in the 2000s, children Manuela and Stefano Montina, flanked by shareholder Marco Marseu, broaden target markets and lead Montbel at international levels as a brand specializing in the production of quality seats for the world's major hotel chains, and therefore able to respond to specific technical standards of sealing, approval and safety. Montbel manages locally each step of chair production, a process still entirely manual: from drying the wood, to assembly, from painting to stuffing, from upholstery to seaming, from smoothing to polishing, etcetera.
Since 2012, Montbel offers the class of its forms to the most famous film festivals in the world, by sponsoring Cannes, Venice and Berlin and by welcoming Italian and international movie stars to the comfort of its chairs.
Today, as in the past, Montbel’s creations know how to combine great design to the high comfort and maximum resistance. All to satisfy the most demanding customers.
Montbel continues to offer new products to the international market. Its italian soul rises through the selection of the high quality materials used and the attention paid to each phase of the production. This is exported with success all over the world. Portraying a solid image of a company which combines aesthetics and ethics as well as contributing with excellence to make the areas we live in, the work place and hospitality environments more balanced, attractive and cosy
