Overview
The S25 and S50 upholstered vertical desk panels improve acoustics and create visual privacy and a sense of security. The panels optimise workplace comfort and employee productivity.

Optimal Acoustics
Ahrend S50 panels are a smart choice to improve the acoustic climate. These panels are tested according to NEN-EN-ISO 11654 and have an acoustic value of class C. In rooms with poor acoustics productivity and wellbeing are negatively affected, so these panels contribute to a better vitalising work environment.

Versions
The S25 panel has a thickness of 25 mm, while the S50 panel is 50 mm thick. They are available in various heights and widths. The height at the top of the panels matches that of other Ahrend products to create a consistent room aesthetic. Corners can be straight, rounded, or a combination. Panels can be mounted on the front and/or side of the workspace.

Sustainability
The panels are designed according to circular design principles to promote long-term (re-)use of components and materials and to prevent raw materials becoming waste. Design choices include a lightweight construction using sustainable wood rather than steel to reduce CO2 emissions. The products aim for reuse and recyclability of materials.

Recyclable fabrics with mono backing
The available fabrics are mono-materials (e.g. 100% wool or 100% polyester) suitable for textile recycling. Fabrics use a mono-backing made of (recycled) polyester with polyester glue, making the backing 100% recyclable and the fabric suitable for recycling at end of life.

Replaceable fabric cover
The S50 panels include a replaceable fabric cover, enabling rejuvenation of the panel by fitting a new cover; the removed cover can be recycled.

Recycled acoustic filling
The acoustic filling for S50 panels consists of 77% recycled textile waste from the clothing and interior design sector, saving up to 50% in CO2 emissions compared to equivalent virgin-material acoustic filling. The filling is not glued, it is easy to remove and can be reused or recycled. The technical lifespan of the material can be up to 75 years.
