Aglas IM combines increased weather stability and improved mechanical properties, which approach the properties of the Aglas IM solid polycarbonate. In comparison with cast acrylic, Aglas IM has higher shock resistance; the added organically-modified siloxanes achieve better mechanical properties and scratch resistance. Due to their chemical structure, they bind more effectively to the polymer matrix, and avoid migration. As a result, we can achieve improved mechanical properties, scratch resistance, and the effect of "easy cleaning". We use the sheets and products in construction, or applications where a high level of light is desirable alongside a reduced passage of heat.
