Inspired by traditional, woven wicker baskets, Michel Bouquillon and Donia Maaoui have created a novel and original object that charmingly plays with the shapes of this traditional handcraft. The Vimini basket stands out thanks to its sophisticated design. After being cut with a laser, the sheet steel is molded in a series of mechanical production steps that once again rely on the Alessi workshops' skill to process this metal.
