EUROSLOT grilles when used in stair tread applications will accentuate the visual perspective of a space owing to the transparency of our construction and the reflective qualities of the material. CONSTRUCTION The treads consist of a wire (300 or 560) and a slot opening between 3 and 25mm. Other alternatives are available upon request. The supports are 10x2, 15x2 or 25x2 at spacings of 25 or 50mm the depth of which provide the mechanical strength. FRAME LOAD The framing is selected according to mechanical and cosmetic criteria. We can produce treads having minimal thickness by adding 15x3 or 30x5mm flat bar and relying on a substructure to resist the loading. Self supported treads (without any substructure) require larger longitudinal framing of 50x5mm or more depending upon the width of the stairway and the specified loading. FINISHING A natural finish (satin) is most commonly specified. We can also offer a non-slip surface (sandblasted). Some tread nosings can be specially adapted for the same security reasons
