The solid oak Hardy Coffee Table features gently rounded edges that gives it a smooth finish, with a shelf that is perfect for storing books and newspapers.
The oak Hardy coffee table is a refined yet practical piece of furniture. Gently rounded edges gives it a smooth finish, with a shelf that is perfect for storing books and newspapers.
Its design follows that of the original Hardy Chair, a chair that drew inspiration from two chair typologies from the 19th century, Thomas Hardy’s birth century: firstly the Captain’s chair originally a low-backed wooden armchair and secondly, the Smokers bow, a low back Windsor, often used in smoking rooms, public houses, barbers shops and cottages.
Old Furniture, a poem by Dorset-born Thomas Hardy, is an ode to beauty of furniture being handed down the generations. We think this coffee table would make Mr Hardy quite pleased.
